Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Pourcision (the "Service"), a pour-over coffee recipe application operated by Pourcision ("we", "us", "our"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. The Service

Pourcision takes bean parameters and brew configuration you provide and generates a precision pour-over recipe, including water temperature, grind setting, bloom, a timed pour sequence, and a projected cup profile. The Service is provided for personal, non-commercial use.

2. Eligibility & accounts

You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, to purchase the Service. If you create an account, you are responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for all activity under your account. You agree to provide accurate information and to keep it up to date.

3. Purchases, pricing & payment

Access to the full recipe engine is sold as a one-time purchase granting lifetime access, as described on our Pricing page. Prices are stated in AED; your local currency and any applicable taxes are calculated at checkout.

4. License

Subject to these Terms and your payment, we grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for your own pour-over brewing. You may not resell, sublicense, redistribute, or commercially exploit the Service or its output without our written permission.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the underlying recipe algorithms, except to the extent permitted by law;
  • circumvent, disable, or interfere with any licensing, security, or access-control feature;
  • use the Service to build a competing product or to scrape or republish its output at scale;
  • use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms.

6. Intellectual property

The Service, including its software, recipe engine, design, branding, and content, is owned by Pourcision and protected by intellectual-property laws. These Terms grant you no ownership rights. Brew data you enter remains yours.

7. Recipes are guidance, not guarantees

Pourcision provides algorithmic brewing guidance. Coffee outcomes depend on variables outside our control — your beans, water, grinder calibration, and technique. We do not warrant that any recipe will produce a particular taste or result. Use common sense when handling hot water and equipment.

8. Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Pourcision shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service. Our total aggregate liability for any claim relating to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid for it.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms. You may stop using the Service at any time. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (including ownership, disclaimers, and limitation of liability) will survive.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes shall be subject to the competent courts of the United Arab Emirates.
