This Privacy Policy explains how Pourcision ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use the Pourcision application and website (the "Service"). We collect only what we need to run the Service, and we do not sell your personal data.
Information we collect
- Account information. If you create an account, we collect your email address and any name you provide, in order to authenticate you and sync your data.
- Brew data. The bean parameters, brew configurations, and saved recipes you create in the app. If you are signed in, this is synced to your account so it is available across your devices.
How we use your information
- To provide, operate, and maintain the Service and generate your recipes;
- To authenticate you and sync your data across devices;
- To validate purchases and provide customer support;
- To comply with legal obligations and protect against fraud or abuse.
Service providers
We rely on a small number of trusted processors who handle data on our behalf:
- Supabase — authentication, database, and cloud sync (data storage).
- Vercel — website and application hosting.
These providers process your information only as needed to deliver their services to us and are bound by their own privacy and security obligations.
Cookies & local storage
We use browser local storage to remember your preferences (such as your theme choice) and to keep you signed in. We do not use third-party advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
Data retention
We retain your account and brew data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time.
Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, email support@pourcisionapp.com and we will respond within a reasonable time.
Data security
We use industry-standard measures, including encryption in transit (HTTPS), to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to safeguard your data and to limit access to it.
International transfers
Your information may be processed and stored on servers located outside your country of residence, including by the service providers listed above. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for such transfers.
Children's privacy
The Service is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above.
